PC Technician Needed for Onsite & Helpdesk


This position requires strong organizational, communication, and client relationship skills (fluent English required). Must have strong technical skills and high level of accuracy in work.  Be able to work on multiple projects.  Individual should be versed with supporting various operating systems, application software and network connectivity issues. Position will also entail performing upgrades, installations, moves, adds, changes and repairs on systems. Technician will possibly travel to client sites throughout Oakland, Macomb & Genesee Counties to provide technical support; must have reliable transportation.  We are a fast-paced growing computer service firm.  We have been in business since 1994.


This is a full time position. Pay $14 - $18 per hour, based on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Technician will be working under two level 2 technicians

  • Have 2 years of experience in the IT field

  • Live within 30 Miles of Clarkston

  • Provide quality technology support to clients with wide range of technical issues

  • Independent Problem Solver

  • Ability to take detailed notes

  • Able to take verbal direction with any task.

  • Ability to research new problems and solve them in a time-appropriate manner

  • Ticket Management

  • Be willing to assist with Network Cable Installs


Technical Skills



  • Solid understanding of Microsoft desktop/laptop operating systems, up to and including XP Professional & Vista

  • Hands on work experience preferred

  • Support experience on PC'S, laptops, servers & printers preferred

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software

  • Overall understanding of network topology: LAN, WAN, VPN, Wireless, Firewalls

  • Exchange 2003 & 2007, SQL 2005 & 2008 knowledge a plus but not required

  • General understanding of Microsoft server operating systems, up to and including Windows 2003, 2008 and Active Directory

  • Knowledge of all key hardware components

  • Experience with cleaning of systems infected with spyware and viruses


Education Required
High school diploma or equivalent. 
MCP and OEM certifications a plus
